I believe first in understanding where my mentee is so that I can meet them where they are. This understanding enables me to, first and foremost, know what journey they are on in their professional development, and what they feel they need to know going forward. My role as a mentor, as I desire, is to be a coach and a guide, not a dictator or molder, and a helping hand when they need it, whether they know they need it or not.

Academy for Co-Teaching and Collaboration
(St. Cloud University)
St. Cloud has created, implemented and reserached a new approach to student teaching utilizing a co-teaching model. This innovative work was originally undertaken through a U.S. Department of Education Teacher Quality Enhancement Partnership Grant for $5 million awarded in 2003.
